Mr William (Bill) Killinger (64) was appointed non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company on 25 June 2009.
Bill Killinger was first appointed to the Board on 19 July 1996 and is a retired civil engineer with 40 years experience in engineering construction associated with infrastructure, including mineral, industrial and public infrastructure projects in , Africa, Middle East, South East Asia, United States of America and South America .
This experience particularly includes construction of major mineral treatment plants and their associated infrastructure and the construction and maintenance of railways, mass transit systems and high speed railways.Bill has fulfilled roles as Chairman, Managing Director , President, General Manager, Area Manager, Construction Manager, Project Manager and various engineering positions. He has worked for such companies as Fluor, Murray and Roberts, Minproc, Barclay Mowlem and Laing O’Rourke.
Bill Killinger is also Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.
Order of Australia
Bill Killinger was made a Member of the Order of Australia in January 2009 for service to railway engineering through the construction and development of passenger and freight transport systems in Australia and internationally, to professional organisations, to the mining sector and to the community.
